This audio recording of Phoenix Rising was specifically made as the backing for the video made in 1984.

The video was shot at a two locations, firstly at Conisboro’ Castle in South Yorkshire and secondly live in the Tiffany’s night club venue in Sheffield. In addition to the live action the video featured an animated phoenix rising out of the castle background.

The recording of the track was made by the band in Pulse Studios, a local 16 track recording studio in Hathersage near Sheffield.

Cassette versions of the track were placed on limited release for promotional purposes only.
